Are you building what truly matters?

You ship hard things. Systems at scale. Elegant code.

But will any of it stand for you when you're asked how you used your skills?

The Purpose Gap

Our brightest Muslim builders power the world's apps. Yet, this strategic asset is overwhelmingly directed towards ventures that are, at best, neutral to our interests and, at worst, actively detrimental to our well-being. This has left our own digital infrastructure fragmented, lacking the unifying vision and high-quality execution we are capable of. This isn't a skills gap. It's a purpose gap.

From Rituals to Reconstruction

Islam is comprehensive - meant to remove injustice and serve humanity. Our obligation isn't only private worship; it's to help establish the Deen in life's systems and institutions.

"...that you establish the Deen." Qur'an 42:13

The Intervention: Ummah Hack

A 30-hour, high-intensity, overnight hackathon that redirects talent to our most urgent needs. It is the beginning of a movement to redirect our community's most skilled builders towards solving our most pressing problems. Start building what our Ummah actually needs - now.

What We Build: Three Tracks

Track 1: Fard Kifayah Solutions

(Our Social Infrastructure)

This track is about building the high-quality, scalable platforms our communities are missing. We need robust infrastructure to reinvigorate our Masajid as true community hubs - think scalable software for key services like Zakat, Janazah coordination, and community management.

Track 2: Digital Sovereignty

(Our Digital Infrastructure)

Why build our communities on platforms that are neutral or hostile to our values? This track is about reclaiming our digital sovereignty by building our own ethical, privacy-first IT infrastructure - like secure data storage or easy-to-use cloud solutions for our Masajid and schools.

Track 3: The Digital Economy

(Our Economic Infrastructure)

To be truly independent, we must own our economic infrastructure. This track is about engineering a new, ethical economy by building tools for our local businesses—such as platforms for accessible Halal financing, streamlined auditing, or easier SME investing.

Who This Is For

50 exceptional student & early-career builders (0–5 yrs) who want their portfolio to mean something in the dunya and in the akhirah. We are looking for Software Engineers and UI/UX Designers with hands-on prototyping skills. This is a curated event. Intake is by application only.

The Weekend

January 17–18, 2026
Ireland

30 hours. Salah in jama'ah with breaks. Professional halal catering provided throughout. Expert mentors will be on call to provide technical, product, and Islamic guidance. You ship a working prototype or a polished interactive mock-up - no paperware.

Outcomes: Beyond the Weekend

  • Tangible, high-quality builds with the potential for real-world impact.
  • You retain full and exclusive ownership of everything you build.
  • We are committed to connecting winning teams with follow-on funding, mentorship, and incubator opportunities.

Our Standard is Excellence (Ihsan)

We are not here to build the "Muslim X," we are here to build the "Best X" - products that are superior in craft and purpose. Projects are judged on: Impact, Execution, Viability, and Innovation.

Answer The Call

If Allah gave you these talents, they were never meant to be idle. The Ummah needs builders. The Ummah needs you.

"...AND ELEVATED SOME OF YOU IN RANK OVER OTHERS, THAT HE MAY TEST YOU IN WHAT HE HAS GIVEN YOU." [QUR'AN 6:165]

Not an Engineer or Designer?

The Ummah needs all skills. This 30-hour event is focused on tech, but the mission to establish the Deen requires videographers, marketers, operators, and more. Our movement is just beginning.
