A Telegram bot that lets anyone send money using plain language—in any language. No apps to download, no banking required. Type "send €50 to Ahmed" and it happens. Designed for those excluded by traditional financial systems, cutting out the middlemen who take up to 30% of every transfer.

Key Features

  • Send peer-to-peer payments in natural language
  • Multilingual support (Arabic, Urdu, English, and more)
  • No app download required—works in existing Telegram
  • Near-zero transfer fees using stablecoins
  • Works without a bank account

The Problem

Traditional banking excludes the most vulnerable. Migrant workers sending money home lose up to 30% to fees and middlemen. Refugees without documentation cannot open accounts. Even within communities, informal support between friends requires cash exchanges that are inconvenient and lack records. The existing remittance industry profits from complexity. Every transfer passes through multiple intermediaries—each taking a cut, each adding delays. A worker in Dublin sending €100 to family in Somalia might see only €70 arrive. This is a tax on the poor, paid to the wealthy.

The Solution

This platform removes the middlemen entirely. Users interact with a Telegram bot in natural language: "create my wallet," "what's my balance," "send 100 to @ahmed_dublin." The system handles everything behind the scenes—no technical knowledge required. The choice of Telegram is deliberate—it's already installed on over 800 million devices, heavily used in Muslim-majority countries, and requires no additional onboarding.

What Was Built

A fully functional Telegram bot with AI-powered intent recognition parsing natural language requests, automated account creation and management, live peer-to-peer transactions (demonstrated with real transfers during the demo), and multilingual message parsing. The team successfully executed live transactions during their presentation, sending funds between attendees in real-time.

Technical Approach

Backend service receiving Telegram messages, parsing intent via AI, executing transfers on a stablecoin network. The architecture prioritizes simplicity—users never see technical complexity, just money moving instantly.

Impact on the Ummah

This directly addresses the Quranic imperative of economic justice. Remittances are the lifeblood of many Muslim-majority economies—Pakistan alone receives over $30 billion annually, with families losing billions to transfer fees. A frictionless, low-cost alternative returns that money to where it belongs. Beyond remittances, this enables the informal mutual aid that has always been part of Muslim communities—now without geographic boundaries.

Universal Application

The unbanked and underbanked exist everywhere. 1.4 billion adults globally lack bank accounts. Migrant communities, informal workers, and those in regions with unstable banking all benefit from accessible peer-to-peer payments.

Long-Term Vision

On-ramping and off-ramping (converting to and from local currency), enabling true utility for everyday users. Integration with local cash agents, merchant payments, and potentially Zakat/Sadaqah distribution infrastructure.

What's Next

On-ramp/off-ramp integration to convert to local currency is the critical missing piece for mainstream adoption.
